Download Mame32 for your emulator. This is a windows emulator with joystick and full sound support. MAME.dk is the best ROM site. They have the best navigation with a great search engine. Make sure you download all the neccessary files. Some games come with a parent ROM file and samples (these are the sounds) , these files must be downloaded. The Image file is just artwork , usually from the side of the original cabinet. |

To use the highscore .dat file just unzip the contents of the zip file into the same directory as your mame.exe is in. Some highscores will not save properly unless the relevent nvram file is deleted first. Also most old .hi files saved when mame supported highscore saving will not work with the highscore.dat file (Mame stopped supporting highscore saves at about v36 beta 14) |

The nv ram files that mame games use are stored in a folder called nvram in the same directory as the mame.exe file is in. If there is no such directory then create one. once you exit an nv ram supported game in mame the nv ram file is either saved or updated depending on if its the first time you have loaded the game or not. ** NOTE:-THESE NV RAM FILES ARE READ ONLY FILES-DO NOT CHANGE THEM IN ANY WAY**
